Growing up, my brother Michael and I often joked that my dad had a third child and that we had a third sibling - our dad’s business. While I always enjoyed learning a few snippets about the business world from our dining room table, I never imagined myself as a businesswoman. Instead, I loved to design and create my own jewelry and clothing, and then set up “mini boutiques” to showcase my pieces for friends and family.

What I didn’t quite appreciate while growing up is that business is also a profoundly creative endeavor that connects many of my passions.

I hope to pursue a career in the fashion industry with a focus on business operations. I want to one day present a collection at New York Fashion Week to an audience that includes young girls who are inspired, as I have been, to break into this industry.
